Adriana Gil graduated in Physics at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and obtained her PhD in Physics at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid under the supervision of Prof. Jaime Colchero on Atomic Force Microscopy. She then moved to the private sector and for more than 11 years was part of the Nanotec Team, a spin-off company to Develop, Produce and Comercialize AFM instruments where she first led the R&D Department and later the company. She joined Fernando’s group at CNB-CSIC on July 2015 for the ServoTec Proof of Concept project, funded by the ERC. Adriana is expert in AFM technique, as well as in Project Management and Technology Transfer activities.
She works full time for the ERC funded Mechan-of-Chromo Project since July 2016. Being expert on AFM technique, Dr. Gil works as the Project Assistant and Group Manager. She gives support to the PI throughout the project management and, being involved in the overall activity of the group, to the rest of the team members with the aim of optimising the results/effort ratio. She is a link with the Host Institution Project Office and Technology Transfer Office.
